Hip Implants

Recently Johnson & Johnson and their DePuy division, which manufactures all metal hip replacements, have been the subject of multi-state litigation as a result of their defective product (hip joint) and have failed to adequately warn patients about the potential risks of failure and metal poisoning from the hip. The hip manufactured by DePuy was recalled in 2010 by Johnson & Johnson. It was widely used by doctors in York and South Central Pennsylvania.

The United States’ Food & Drug Administration has received thousands of notices from patients and their families of problems with metal-on-metal hip replacements. Most of these involve the DePuy hip replacement.

In the event you have such a hip replacement, it may take years for problems to surface. Approximately 500,000 individuals have received metal-on-metal hip replacements over the last decade.

If you, a family member, or a loved one has experienced pain or other symptoms that resulted from hip-replacement surgery that occurred subsequent to July 2003, please contact us and we can advise you as to your legal rights regarding presenting a claim to the manufacturer.
